I am somewhat unaware of all of the services provided by the Helpdesk.
1
I've never had a problem.
1
They not knowlegeable enough to help out when you have questions concerning more then one OS and the "Mac Guy" Iverson knows even less when he tries to help out. The students are the only helpful ones or if you see Mr. Hood in his office is the only time things are answered correctly
1
Unlike many of the offices at UW-S, the helpdesk seems to actually want to help me. they did a great job each time.

It depends which lab you're in, but often it's impossible to find a computer in the RSC. I haven't had a problem finding a computer to use in other buildings, though.

1
Once again, Mr. Hood and His techs are very helpful when needed
1
The "print only" scholarship application isn't useful unless you can save it. It may take hours to get the application completed and then the computer locks up. Make the Adobe form interactive so it can be saved.
1
They are usually incredibly busy during the end of the semesters, which can make it difficult to find a computer. Also, I get very frustrated when people talk or use cell phones in the labs. This isn't really the labs fault, it is just disrespect of those students.
1
YOU NEED MORE COLOR PRINTERS! RSC, HWC, DORMS!, THere should be one in every building!!!

D2L is a travesty.
1
It's really is helpful to have it in all the classrooms I've been in.
1
Not all classrooms are very well equipped for things like presentations, etc. This was a big problem in one of my classes last semester, enough that we had to switch rooms with another class to allow students to give their presentations.
1
Some classrooms still do not have equipment in them. (OM 310 is a prime example. There is no computer/projector, and the overhead projector looks like it is from the '60's and sounds like a 747 when it is turned on.)

All Professors should be required to use this feature!
1
Only one instructor of four used it to put grades in. it would be helpful if all instructors used this system to record grades - especially when some instructors lose your papers.
1
The actual site is great, but professors still do not know how to use it properly or do not update it properly. Please give more instruction to the professors and encourage them to use it more.
1
Why do you even have D2L? Do you hate students and want to cause them misery? Until this semester, I always felt bad I couldn't take online courses. Now I understand the meaning of pain. The interface stinks, it's abysmally slow, and it can't quite figure out what HTML is, seventeen years after it was invented. Is there some synonym for "freaking awful" I haven't used yet?

Somebody wasn't thinking when they designing this part of the survey. You can't really gauge "quantity" with satisfactory/unsatisfactory. "Too much" and "too little" get the same response.

For the constant increase in fees related the computing and media services there should have been an improvement by now.
1
It's great overall. I don't ever remember learning anything about the E-Hive. Perhaps incorporating this into orientation would be beneficial.
1
My bank can communicate with me without having me log into their web site every damn day. Please embrace the technology instead of screwing the paying customers.
1
When in the Student Center on E-Hive, there should be a logout button that's easier to see.
